Hi @goldpiggy , I like Fig. 1 that shows relationships between chapters and the summary section that lists learning goals.
Do you guys think it would be great to indicate respective chapter numbers for above goals?
For example, here is the excerpt from the summary section, with arrows showing my guesses and questions.
To successfully apply deep learning,
- you must understand how to cast a problem, <- shown in which chapter?
- the mathematics of modeling, <- shown in chap. 5?
- the algorithms for fitting your models to data, <- shown in chap. 6 to 10?
- and the engineering techniques to implement it all. <- shown in chap. 11,12?
Can I buy this book

I want to consider this book as text book. or reference book

Thanks for the feedback @vincent123! We discuss the figure in details in the below bullet points. Were you preposing something simpler? Thanks!
Hi @goldpiggy,
Thanks for your reply.
The attached slide below shows my questions about relationships between learning goals in the summary section and chapters in this book.
If many readers also have similar questions, maybe a sample description below in the summary section would be helpful:
Goal X can be achieved by understanding chapter Y.
Thanks.
